Montréal Casino & Hotel stands on Île Notre-Dame, in the parkland of Parc Jean-Drapeau in the St Lawrence. Its main structure is the former French pavilion of the world exhibition held here in 1967, joined to the Québec pavilion of the same event, and a hotel building was added to that group. The setting is island ground rather than a city street.
The public parts include restaurants, a cabaret room used for live performance and terraces that look back at the skyline. Walking and cycling paths run through the surrounding park, and the Biosphère and the rowing basin stand nearby. This guide describes the buildings, the rooms and the grounds only.

Fallsview Casino Resort is built into the slope above the gorge at Niagara Falls, on the Ontario side. The complex is arranged over several levels because of the ground it stands on, with the hotel tower rising above the lower halls. Windows on the upper floors face the falls and the river below them.
